Call for Proposals

We invite you to send us a proposal to present a seminar or hands-on workshop at our 2018 annual early childhood education conference. These seminars will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2018. 

The theme for the 2018 conference is:

Elevating our Field

The seminar or workshop can address all areas of early childhood, and be either 1 hour or 2 hours in duration. 

The deadline to submit your proposal is Thursday, November 30, 2017!

Submit Your Proposal

NMAEYC is looking for a diverse selection of seminars this year to support the different areas of the field that work with infants and toddlers, preschool, K-3rd grade and administrators. We are seeking proposals in all of the following topic areas:

  • Early Intervention/Special Education
  • Social/Emotional/Mental Health
  • Music/Movement
  • Math/Science
  • Family Collaboration/Home Visiting
  • Environment/Curriculum
  • Inclusion
  • Documentation/Assessment
  • Advocacy/Leadership
  • Program Management
  • Literacy
  • Technology
  • Art
  • Accreditation

Our goal is to have a broad range of seminar topics that evenly address the different branches of the early childhood field. Please consider these topics and age groups when submitting your proposal. If you or someone you know has a presentation to share in one of these topic area or others, please submit a proposal! If you are just starting out and not interested in presenting a full workshop yet, consider doing a poster presentation to highlight your creative ideas and techniques for the field. 

Presenter Logistics

Each accepted proposal includes a conference registration for up to 2 presenters. Presenters would be responsible for purchasing lunch for $20 if desired.

Audiovisual Equipment. NMAEYC provides a screen in every conference room. Rooms accommodating more than 50 people will also have a microphone. Any additional audio visual equipment, including projectors, are your responsibility to provide. The Albuquerque Convention Center has equipment available for rent. You can make arrangements with them at your own expense by contacting Zach Wagner at (505) 768-4549 or at zwagner@allianceav.com.

Exhibits and Networking Opportunities

We also offer both commercial and not-for-profit exhibits of products and services designed to assist and educate those who live with and/or work with young children. There are opportunities throughout the day for participants to network with others and find resources that can be applied to their situation; thus, increasing the quality of care and education that young children receive.
