Who is NMAEYC?

The New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC) is the strongest voice for Early Childhood Professionals in New Mexico. NMAEYC envisions a respected, educated professional workforce providing developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive, high-quality, early care and education.

NMAEYC promotes quality care and education for the well-being of ALL young children, birth to eight, through professional development and advocacy. We are the NM state affiliate of NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children—the largest organization representing children in the world.

NMAEYC membership includes those who care for, educate and work on behalf of young children. These Early Childhood Professionals work every day to make sure that the children in New Mexico are getting a strong start for their futures through education and development.

NMAEYC provides these professionals with resources to assist them in their endeavor to provide high-quality learning to every child they serve. Our network is filled with Early Childhood Professionals who are passionate about the education and development of young children from birth to age eight.
