Program Description: 
HELP-New Mexico (HELP-NM) is a statewide community-based organization, and a community action agency whose mission is to create self-sufficiency and promote economic opportunities to strengthen families. Today, HELP-NM’s four main areas of service are Early Childhood Education, Workforce Development, Family Services, and Community Economic Development. The key services in Early Childhood Education include Head Start, Early Head Start, State Pre-Kindergarten, and a fee-for-service childcare center.

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)
• Responsible for the overall health, safety, quality of care and education for children, record-keeping and reporting.
• Overall management and oversight of the licensed facility and its’ staff, children, parents, and community served.
• Supervise, mentor, assist and train center staff accordingly.
• Adheres and maintains all federal, state, and agency program standards at the center level.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

 A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) or New Mexico Child Development Certificate (NM-CDC)
 A minimum of two-years’ experience in an early childhood growth and development setting
 Experience in coordination of services, management of space and supervisory
 Current Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR certifications
 Proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
